The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Boris Kolesnikov announces authorities’ intention to exempt restaurant business from income tax for 5 years for promotion of its development within the preparation of Ukraine to Final Part of the European Football Championship 2012.
This includes all restaurants and cafes in Kiev, Kharkov, Donetsk and Lviv regions. Moreover, a zero income tax rate may be applied to restaurant business. Within 5 years all Ukrainian food & beverage facilities should be exempted from this compulsory payment.
The Deputy Prime Minister also informed that currently opportunity of free listing of restaurants and cafes in printed and online directories of government is discussed. This listing will include those restaurants which have credit cards payment system (at least Visa and MasterCard should be available) and menu in English.
